Atlas Insurance, through the Atlas Insurance Community Involvement Fund, is supporting Project SEED (Securing Essentials for Every Day), a St Jeanne Antide Foundation initiative that provides food supplies, hygiene products and school lunches to households experiencing financial hardship.
Atlas Insurance’s contribution will strengthen the foundation’s work, helping ensure that basic necessities remain within reach.
The partnership also includes an employee volunteering element, reflecting Atlas Insurance’s commitment to active community engagement.
Atlas employees will contribute to the St Jeanne Antide Foundation’s foodbank operations and assist with the distribution of food and essential hygiene items.
Catherine Calleja, chair of the Atlas Insurance Community Involvement Fund Committee, said: “Poverty is often experienced through the absence of everyday essentials, placing significant pressure on individuals and families already facing difficult circumstances. Through our Community Involvement Fund, Atlas is committed to supporting initiatives that provide practical assistance while helping people preserve their dignity and stability. We are proud to partner with the St Jeanne Antide Foundation on Project SEED and contribute to its efforts to ensure that those experiencing hardship can access the support they need.”
Project SEED forms part of the St Jeanne Antide Foundation’s wider commitment to assisting individuals and families facing hardship through practical assistance, empowerment and community-based services.
Melanie Piscopo, executive director of the St Jeanne Antide Foundation, said: “At the St Jeanne Antide Foundation, we believe that addressing poverty begins with ensuring that no one is deprived of life’s basic necessities. Through Project SEED, we are not simply distributing food and essential items; we are creating opportunities for families to regain stability and move forward with dignity. We are deeply grateful to Atlas Insurance for embracing this vision through both its financial support and its employees’ active involvement. This partnership demonstrates how businesses and voluntary organisations can work together to build stronger, more compassionate communities.”
The partnership will also include joint awareness and communications initiatives to highlight the impact of Project SEED and draw attention to the challenges faced by people experiencing financial and social vulnerability.
These efforts will aim to encourage greater community engagement with the cause, while reinforcing the importance of shared responsibility and solidarity in addressing poverty and social exclusion.
