For more than two decades, Ken Attard lived the entrepreneurial journey from the inside.
Today, he channels that experience into helping business owners, founders and leaders navigate one of the most overlooked drivers of success: mindset.
As a Mindset Consultant and founder of Mindset Malta, Attard works with entrepreneurs who may appear confident on the outside while quietly battling self-doubt behind the scenes.
His mission is to help them shift from self-doubt to lasting self-trust, unlocking the confidence to lead, create, and live from a place of inner worth and peace of mind.
“I walk alongside entrepreneurs who sometimes silently doubt themselves, helping them reconnect with their unspoken strength.”
Ken Attard
At the core of his work is the ARC Method™ Framework, a system designed to guide clients from uncertainty to confidence, while fostering clarity and peace of mind.
Attard’s route into consultancy was shaped by years of business experience combined with a long-standing interest in personal growth.
While he had been studying mindset principles for many years, it was during the Covid period that he decided to dedicate himself fully to supporting entrepreneurs in this field.
He believes many professionals still underestimate the impact mindset has on every area of life and business.
“There is still a large majority of entrepreneurs who still do not see the true power of mindset and how it is having an effect on every aspect of their lives, every single result, and experience. That includes, health, relationships, wealth, spirituality and personal growth.”
Ken Attard
Entrepreneurs who understand that will be better prepared for the years ahead, he says.
That outlook has become increasingly relevant in a fast-changing business landscape, where resilience, emotional intelligence and adaptability are now as valuable as technical skills.
Attard says three core values shape both his personal and professional decisions: authenticity, joy and freedom.
- Authenticity – removing unnecessary layers and operating as genuinely as possible
- Joy – if something is not enjoyable or meaningful, it deserves to be reconsidered.
- Freedom – if freedom is compromised, he has another good look at it and sees if there is another way. If this cannot be found then its an easy “No”.
Attard’s definition of success has also evolved significantly over time. Earlier in his entrepreneurial career, success was linked to titles, milestones and outward recognition.
Today, he sees it differently.
“Success now is knowing the real you. When you have self-trust, peace of mind follows. That is far more valuable than chasing temporary external wins.”
Ken Attard
In an age increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence and rapid digital change, Attard acknowledges the pressure many business owners feel to constantly keep up.
However, he believes human qualities such as trust and authenticity will only become more valuable.
Everything online is being questioned. he says. People want to know what is real. Authenticity is becoming one of the most important currencies in business.
One initiative he is particularly proud of is the Mindset Malta Academy, a community created for alumni of The Mindset Unplugged Series.
Members receive weekly video content, monthly online calls and regular in-person meetups focused on connection rather than transactions.
For Attard, the Academy reflects something deeper than professional development.
He says it is very fulfilling to see people come together, support each other and build relationships outside of a business setting.
Balance is another subject he speaks passionately about.
He believes too many entrepreneurs build businesses first and then try to squeeze life around them, rather than designing the lifestyle they want and building the business to support it.
“Slowing down is key, and it needs to be consistent; it is not a week once a year. Entrepreneurs are going faster than ever, sometimes not really knowing what they’re chasing.”
Ken Attard
Attard says it is all about designing the life you want first and having your business fit into that lifestyle.
Many entrepreneurs have become trapped in designing their business first, and then the rest of their life has to revolve around the business, he adds.
He finds space to recharge through quiet morning time, nature walks, visits to Ta’ Qali or Wied Incita, time at the beach during summer, a nice meal, sports highlights and quality time with his girlfriend.
What advice would you give to someone looking to start or scale a business in your industry today?
Whatever industry you are in, my piece of advice is to first and foremost ask yourself: “Why do you want to scale?”
And secondly, stop taking things too seriously. Make sure you laugh a lot more every single day, especially when you can laugh at yourself.
