BNF Bank reopens refurbished Naxxar branch

Enhancing customer experience and sustainability.

BNF Bank has reopened its Naxxar branch following an extensive refurbishment project designed to improve customer privacy, comfort, sustainability and security.

Managed by local architectural firm CVC Architecture, the redesigned space ensures private conversations about finances can take place in comfortable settings. These enhancements support a more effective retail network and strengthen the professional environment that customers expect during financial consultations.

CEO David Power said the project reflected the bank’s broader commitment to investing in its branch network and strengthening the way it served its customers.

“Branches remain a vital part of our identity as a community bank. They are places where trust is built, where meaningful conversations happen and where customers – individuals, families and businesses – come to make decisions that shape their future,” he said.

“Our goal throughout this refurbishment was to create a branch that truly reflects the level of personal service and professionalism our customers expect from BNF Bank. The redesigned layout ensures that private financial conversations can take place in comfortable, confidential settings. This is essential, because trust is built not only through what we say, but through the environment in which we say it,” chief banking officer Stewart Carvil said.

Customer comfort played a central role in the refurbishment, together with efforts towards the reduction of carbon footprint. The branch now features improved air-conditioning systems, upgraded ergonomic furniture, dedicated waiting areas and a meet-and-greet area that sets a welcoming tone from the moment customers arrive.

Enhanced ventilation works in harmony with the newly installed warm lighting to create an inviting and relaxed atmosphere throughout the branch.

The refurbishment also introduces a fully upgraded 24/7 digital lobby, offering customers round-the-clock access to brand new ATMs and an Express Deposit Machine. This enhanced self-service area provides faster, more reliable and more secure banking outside regular opening hours.

The refurbished Naxxar branch integrates energy efficient systems including full LED lighting, together with motion-activated, dimmable lighting in the 24-hour lobby, which brightens when a customer enters.  A heat recovery unit also captures and reuses thermal energy, which aims to improve airflow and reduce energy waste.

Security continues to be a priority, with the upgraded branch featuring an enhanced CCTV system and a dual circuit lighting set-up that maintains minimal illumination to support visibility and safety after hours. Emergency lighting has also been reinforced to ensure safe evacuation should the need arise.

The newly reopened branch represents BNF Bank’s continued investment in its branch network and its commitment to offering customers a modern, secure and environmentally conscious banking environment.
