Kintech event to mark 10 years of Cashlogy in Malta

Business conference on cash automation on April 22, 2026.

Kintech is inviting Maltese business owners, finance teams and shop-floor managers to a half-day event focused on improving control, consistency and security in cash operations.

The event is taking place on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Hilltop Gardens in Naxxar and marks 10 years since Kintech introduced Cashlogy automation to the local market.

Attendance is free, but registration is required due to limited seating.

The morning focuses on the day-to-day pressures that cash handling creates at the counter and behind it, including speed during busy periods, consistency and security in how cash is handled, and the visibility needed to reduce errors and follow-up queries. It also addresses end-of-shift routines, which in many businesses still absorb staff time and expose operations to manual errors that often only become clear during reconciliation.

Attendees will also be able to see the technology in action, speak directly with suppliers and partners, and assess how it could fit their operations.

Panel discussions will be moderated by a Times of Malta journalist, with time reserved for practical questions.

A decade of local implementation

Over the past decade, Kintech has introduced Cashlogy to a wide range of Maltese businesses, building on local experience that began with the first installation at Charles Attard’s Juanafil Consultants in 2016.

This segment focuses on the reality of cash operations, what changes in practice when day-end routines move from manual work to a faster, more controlled and traceable reconciliation process, and what early adopters learned along the way.

Through the ‘Meet the Expert’ session, attendees will hear those lessons in a real business context, alongside international input including Azkoyen’s country manager, Francesco Spagnuolo, reflecting on the wider development of the platform over the same decade.

Cash in transit: From counter to bank account

A moderated panel will examine cash-in-transit (CIT) and what happens after cash is secured at the point-of-sale, bringing together Security Service Malta Ltd and APS Bank perspectives, including Bernard Vella and Alexander Camilleri. This gives businesses clearer visibility on what happens once cash is secured at the counter, and how security and efficiency can be maintained through to bank delivery.

The session will reference real operating models, such as sealed stacker collection and direct bank delivery workflows already used locally, alongside other approaches used in larger retail environments.

Funding and grants: Making investment more accessible

Recognising that cost is often the deciding factor, not the idea itself, a key segment of the morning will focus on funding and grant options available to Maltese businesses.

Melvin Darmanin from NOUV, a multidisciplinary firm specialising in audit, tax and strategic advisory, will outline specific local and European grant schemes.

“Attendees will be able to see the technology in action”

This session is intended to help finance teams and owners understand which grants are realistically available. By identifying these opportunities, businesses can better plan their investments and reduce the upfront financial burden of upgrading their operations.

Open floor Q&A

A dedicated open floor Q&A will follow the main presentations, giving attendees space to raise practical questions based on their own cash workflows. The session is intended as a working discussion, so businesses can clarify points from the operational, cash logistics and funding sessions, and leave with clearer next steps.

Software partners and integration options

The event will also reflect the wider software ecosystem that supports cash operations in Malta.

Technology partners including EPL, ISL and Progressive Information Systems will be present to discuss and demonstrate how Cashlogy integrates with existing point-of-sale systems.

This open integration approach is designed to strengthen cash control and automation without requiring businesses to overhaul their current software set-up, allowing operational improvements to be introduced with minimal disruption to day-to-day routines.

Networking and anniversary recognition

The event will conclude with a networking lunch, giving attendees space to exchange perspectives with peers and speak directly with specialists in a professional and informal setting.

To mark the 10-year milestone, Kintech will offer a limited set of anniversary incentives to attendees planning their next operational upgrade, a practical gesture intended to support next-step planning.

Registration and RSVP

To keep the session focused on high-quality discussion and networking, seating is limited. Interested parties are encouraged to register by the April 20 deadline at  kintech.mt and secure their place at the conference.

Times of Malta is media partner for this event.
