PwC Digital Services Malta has appointed IT engineer David Micallef head of business unit and a company director.

The role will see Micallef lead the team handling managed services for cloud, infrastructure and IT, the company said in a statement announcing his appointment.

The firm described Micallef as bringing “extensive experience in ICT and computer engineering, with a strong track record of leading large-scale technology initiatives across the banking, manufacturing, and logistics sectors”.

Micallef has spent more than three years at PwC Digital Services Malta, both as a senior manager and director, and before that over 12 years at IT services company Megabyte Ltd before its acquisition by PwC Digital Services Malta, according to his LinkedIn profile.

The firm is part of the wider PwC network, comprising more than 364,000 people across 136 countries. PwC, or PricewaterhouseCoopers, is most closely associated with audit and consultancy services.
