Bank of Valletta announces three C-Suite exits

Three members of Bank of Valletta’s senior leadership team will be exiting the company in the coming months, the bank told shareholders on Tuesday.

Ivo Camilleri, who headed the bank’s strategy division, customer experience chief Theodoros Papadopoulos and human resources boss Ray Debattista will all be moving on.

Camilleri, who serves as BOV’s Chief Strategy, Transformation and Data Officer, will be retiring from the bank as of April 3.  Camilleri first joined BOV in 1987 and worked at leadership level on multiple BOV digital products and electronic payment systems.

Papadopoulos will not be renewing his contract as Chief Customer Experience Officer when it expires on June 30 by mutual consent. He first joined BOV in September 2021 and served on several bank committees while also focusing on customer journey mapping.

Debattista will be retiring from the bank at some point in Q3 and will therefore relinquish his post as Chief People and Culture Officer at that point. Debattista joined BOV in 1984 and occupied several roles within the bank across its retail network and corporate functions.

In its statement, BOV thanked all these for their work and said there were no matters concerning them that required disclosure under Capital Market Rules.

“The Bank will communicate any updates regarding its senior management at the appropriate time, through the issuance of company announcements,” it said.
