New generation of event specialists joins The Phoenicia Malta

Continuity and innovation combine in the newly updated events team at The Phoenicia Malta, meeting growing demand for corporate events, weddings and multi-day celebrations at the island’s much-loved luxury hotel.

The Phoenicia Malta has strengthened its events team with strategic new appointments, reinforcing the iconic hotel’s reputation as one of Malta’s most trusted and accomplished venues for landmark celebrations, corporate gatherings, destination weddings and luxury experiences. 

Over the past year, the hotel has welcomed a refreshed team of event specialists, combining fresh perspectives with proven five-star experience to safeguard the quality, discretion and creativity that have defined events at The Phoenicia Malta for decades. 

The updated events team includes Events Administrators Kristians Grech and Alessia Bezzina, Sales Administrator Jade Borg and Event Sales Manager Alizee Karst, while Events Executive Giulia Porrino also offers a dedicated focus on weddings. The team works closely with The Phoenicia Malta’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Andrew Strickland, who continues to oversee the strategic growth of events across the property. 

Several of the new recruits bring experience from other five-star hotels, adding depth and insight to an events team that has long been synonymous with precision, discretion and attention to detail. Together, they support The Phoenicia Malta’s diverse portfolio of events, from high-level board meetings and large-scale corporate functions to intimate celebrations and multi-day weddings. 

As Malta’s first five-star hotel, The Phoenicia Malta has played host to generations of defining moments, welcoming royalty, dignitaries and international guests since opening its doors in 1947. The strengthened events team reflects the hotel’s commitment to maintaining this legacy while responding to evolving guest expectations.
