The second GreenBiz Awards, held last Thursday, 13 November, honored small businesses driving real change in Malta. In a venue alive with eco-friendly touches and open conversations, the event spotlighted innovation through finalist pitches, hands-on exhibitions, and meaningful networking – reminding us that progress starts with shared ideas and steady steps.
Hosted at The Notch Conference Centre in San Gwann, the evening featured a panel of experienced judges who voted for the best green solutions. Judges included Matthew Swain, Head of Sustainability, APS Bank plc; Anamaria Magri Pantea, Ascend Consulting; Marc Berghoff, Vistage Chair; Gonca Kara, Head of Projects at Acceler8 and Alessandro Silvestri, Startup Mentor
Maltaccelerate.
Supported by APS Bank plc and VisitMalta, the event helped amplify voices from Malta’s growing sustainability community. Other sponsors included Working Town, Greenie.mt, The Eden Foundation, Creative Desk Malta, Malta Airport, Finance Malta, PwC, Vision Zero Connect and ElectroWaste.
The exhibition area buzzed with finalists’ displays: upcycled fashion, 3D prototypes, soil samples for home gardens, and natural skincare demos, inviting everyone to touch and learn. It was a humble reminder that small actions, like these, build bigger impacts.
