Malcolm Camilleri steps down as PG Group CEO

Malcolm Camilleri has resigned as CEO of PG Group, which operates the PAMA/PAVI supermarkets and Zara home and clothing stores in Malta.

Camilleri’s departure, which came into effect at the start of the week, was announced by the group Wednesday. It noted that the resignation also covered his role as executive director of the group and its subsidiaries.

Borg had served as deputy CEO for the group since 2024, and spent the 11 years prior as head of purchasing for the PAMA/PAVI supermarkets. He was made an executive director in 2020.

The group thanked the outgoing CEO for his contribution to the group’s business activities during his tenure while wishing him success in the future.

PG Group is set to operate the shopping complex at db Group’s St George’s Bay project in St Julian’s, which is currently under construction.
