The Melita Foundation has announced a new call for funding that will, for the first time, allow eligible organisations to obtain multi year support for their projects.
This call for funding, covering a three year period to 2028, will enable beneficiaries to plan and deliver longer term initiatives that create lasting impact in Malta and Gozo.
Successful applicants will be able to benefit from a maximum of €30,000 in funding.
Since its establishment in 2020, the Melita Foundation has supported nearly 100 voluntary community projects focused on enhancing digital skills, fostering creativity and protecting Malta’s heritage and environment.
Over the past five years, the Foundation has also provided funding to dozens of initiatives that benefit vulnerable groups and contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable society.
Building on this strong track record, the Melita Foundation is now launching a new call for funding that introduces a multi-year funding model.
This new approach is designed to give organisations greater certainty and flexibility to implement programmes that require sustained investment and planning over a longer period of time.
Professor Tanya Sammut-Bonnici, Chair of the Melita Foundation, said “Over the past five years we have seen first hand the dedication and creativity of organisations across Malta and Gozo that are working to improve people’s lives and protect what makes our islands unique.
By introducing a multi year funding model, we want to provide greater stability for projects that require longer term planning and sustained commitment to deliver meaningful results for our communities.”
Applications for funding are now open, with full details on eligibility criteria, application procedures and deadlines available on the Melita Foundation website.
