Geopolitics and cross-border banking in focus at APS Bank’s first 2026 Management Offsite

APS Bank held its first Management Offsite for 2026 on Wednesday, 25 March 2026 at Xara Lodge, Rabat, bringing together over 80 members from among its middle to senior management to discuss emerging global dynamics and their implications for the Bank’s strategic direction.

The session, centred on the theme Geopolitics, the challenges and opportunities for international private banking,’ exploring how shifting global conditions are influencing capital flows, client expectations, and the positioning of financial institutions. The presentations and panel session included keynote contributions by subject-matter experts from leading consulting firms, practitioners and business leaders, and looked at individual, family and general expat mobility, and money flows, including relocation and investment decisions. Participants considered where Malta features as a viable jurisdiction in this dynamic landscape, and discussed the challenges and opportunities for APS Bank.

Commenting on the event, CEO Marcel Cassar said: “As wealth moves in search of resilience, convenience and accessibility, across geographies and legal frameworks, APS Bank sees increased demand for international private client banking.
