Moneybase launches Corporate Cards for business accounts

Calamatta Cuschieri Moneybase has officially launched Corporate Cards for Moneybase Business, introducing a new way for companies to manage employee spending with more visibility and control.

The introduction of Corporate Cards marks the latest step in the evolution of Moneybase Business, as the platform continues to expand to better support how companies manage their financial operations.

Since its launch, Moneybase Business has supported several companies in managing payments, holding and exchanging funds across multiple currencies, liquidity management, and overseeing day-to-day financial operations within a single platform.

“We are proud to be providing local businesses with an efficient way to manage all their company finances. Managing company spending remains a challenge for many businesses, particularly as their  operations scale. We continue to work closely with Maltese businesses to continue to address their needs,” said Alan Cuschieri, founder of Moneybase and co-CEO at  Calamatta Cuschieri Moneybase.

Over the past year, Moneybase Business accounts have grown by over 65% year-on-year, reflecting increasing adoption from local businesses seeking more efficient ways to manage their finances.

With accounts opened in as little as 48 hours, Moneybase Business continues to provide a streamlined way for local companies to access modern financial tools while supporting them as they scale.

Corporate Cards build on this ecosystem by bringing employee spending into the same platform. This feature allows companies to issue cards to employees, assign them to specific business wallets, and control how they are used, including enabling or disabling online payments, ATM withdrawals, contactless payments and swipe transactions.

Cards can also be frozen, unfrozen or terminated instantly. All transactions are recorded in real time, supported by notifications for key activity and secured through 3D Secure (3DS) authentication.

This addition extends the Moneybase Business offering by bringing employee spending into the same platform where companies manage their broader financial operations.

Corporate Cards are now available to all Moneybase Business users. For more information, visit moneybase.com/business/corporate-cards.
