CareMalta Group has supported an initiative by 20-year-old Gozitan Matthew Galea, with funds going towards Puttinu Cares. Galea undertook a 40km cycling marathon in Gozo on Thursday, starting and finishing off in the main square of Għarb.
The young man, who works at Dar San Ġużepp in Għajnsielem, which is operated by CareMalta Group, has made this marathon a yearly initiative since 2024. He said he has loved cycling since young and inspired by the many initiatives he has come across that support meaningful causes, he decided to organise one of his own.
Galea hopes that over time, apart from raising more funds through this initiative, other people −including young individuals like himself − will join him in this marathon.
He was presented with a donation at the CareMalta Group offices in Mosta by the company’s chief operations officer, Noel Borg.
