Trident Park, the landmark large-scale regeneration of the historic former Farsons Brewery site, has been awarded a BREEAM Excellent Design Stage Certificate, recognising the sustainability credentials of the project’s design and its alignment with internationally recognised environmental standards.
The BREEAM assessment process evaluates the environmental performance of a development based on its design intent, specifications and sustainability strategies, including energy efficiency, water use, materials, health and well-being, and environmental management. Trident Park’s accreditation as a BREEAM Excellent design reflects the project’s thoughtful integration of sustainable design principles from the outset, consistent with its vision as a modern green office campus.
Charles Xuereb, CEO of Trident Estates Plc said: “Achieving a Design Stage ‘Excellent’ rating reflects the quality of the design approach adopted for Trident Park and highlights the early integration of sustainability principles within the project’s planning and development phase. This achievement reaffirms our commitment to delivering exceptional work environments that support both environmental stewardship and human well-being. It forms part of our wider commitment to responsible development and the ongoing evaluation of our assets against established ESG standards.”
Designed by internationally renowned Ritchie Studio Ltd in collaboration with local architectural partner TBA Periti, Trident Park incorporates extensive features that support environmental performance, including optimised natural lighting and ventilation, green outdoor spaces, flexible efficient floor plates and advanced building technologies.
The development was conceived to meet strict environmental codes and minimise its carbon footprint, with energy infrastructure and sustainable operational systems embedded into its design.
