McDonald’s has opened a new outlet in Mriehel, marking the fast food chain’s 10th Maltese restaurant and its franchise owner’s 200th across Europe.
The new outlet incorporates a drive-through and 24/7 food delivery.
Premier Capital, an offshoot of Hili Ventures that operates McDonald’s locally, said the new restaurant will “serve central, southern and north-western Malta.”
Around 700 people are employed across its 10 local McDonald’s restaurants.
Premier Capital also operates McDonald’s restaurants across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Greece and Romania.
Peter Hili, Managing Director at Premier Restaurants Malta, said: “Opening our 10th McDonald’s in Malta and marking our 200th restaurant is a special moment for us. This is where our story began 30 years ago, and every new opening reflects the passion and dedication of our team to offer our customers feel-good moments and a consistently great experience.”
In a statement marking the launch, Premier Capital said it expects total annual revenue to reach over €775 million in 2025, supported by 12,000 employees across its six markets.
The company plans to open 15 more restaurants across its European markets in 2026.
