Corinthia is opening a new cultural chapter in Malta with the launch of Palace Concerts − an elegant series of live performances set within the refined surroundings of its original hotel and spiritual home − Corinthia Palace Malta, in Attard.
Already established internationally through the acclaimed Astoria Concerts at Corinthia Brussels, the concept now arrives where the Corinthia story first began − in Attard − reimagined for a Maltese audience seeking immersive, cultural experiences.
The inaugural event, From Darkness to Light, is taking place today at the Villa Corinthia, promising an evening where music, gastronomy and atmosphere come together in perfect harmony.
Curated by violinist Sarah Spiteri, the concert will trace the passage from the solemnity of Lent to the radiance of Easter. The programme unfolds in two parts:
Part 1: Passion and human drama − a contemplative exploration of fragility, compassion and introspection, featuring works by Mozart, Bach, Elgar and Morricone.
Part II – Light, hope and Easter joy − a luminous progression into renewal and celebration, culminating in the triumphant Hallelujah from Handel’s Messiah.
Audiences will experience some of the most beloved works in the classical and sacred repertoire − from the haunting beauty of Lacrimosa to the serenity of Bach’s Air, and the emotional resonance of Morricone’s iconic film scores.
A distinguished ensemble of Malta-based and international performers will take part, including a full string section, trumpet and a carefully selected vocal quartet across soprano, alto, tenor and bass.
Following the concert, guests will be treated to a 90-minute open bar and extensive cocktail reception, curated by celebrity chef Francesco Mazzei.
The event starts at 5pm. Ticket priceis €75 and includes the evening recep-tion and free-flowing Prosecco and wines.
