The Eden Leisure Foundation celebrated its first full year of operation in 2025, a year defined by meaningful partnerships and a commitment to supporting voluntary organisations that align with its three core pillars:
- Culture, arts and national heritage.
- Environmental protection, sustainability and animal welfare.
- Social and community advancement and outreach.
The Foundation acts as an advisory and coordinating body, guiding the Eden Leisure Group, its founder on how to allocate its funds and resources for maximum impact.
Throughout the year, it coordinated and supported a wide range of projects, both within the local community and nationally, with all financial support and costs borne by the Eden Leisure Group.
During the year, 37 applications were received, each carefully reviewed and assessed against its core pillars and the potential for real, lasting impact.
A number of organisations were selected to partner with throughout the year, receiving support through financial contributions, volunteering, resource sharing, fundraising, awareness raising and direct donations.
In 2025, over 40 voluntary organisations benefited from this support. Throughout the year, €251,866 was raised or donated, with approximately €15,800 in in-kind contributions and hundreds of items diverted from landfill through circularity initiatives.
As the Foundation looks ahead, the groundwork laid this year sets a strong platform for even greater impact, strengthening existing partnerships, welcoming new ones, and continuing to give back in ways that are meaningful and rooted in shared purpose.
