Nowadays, companies are increasingly seeking experiences that go beyond traditional, run-of-the-mill events.

Instead, many organisations are looking to bring teams together through shared activities while removing the logistical complexity of organising multiple elements across different venues.

Nicole Abdilla, Sales and Event Coordinator at The Eden in St George’s Bay, St Julian’s, says that the venue has positioned itself as a practical and engaging solution for businesses that want to host memorable events without the stress of complicated planning.

“What makes The Eden a good venue for corporate events is that companies can organise and combine several activities all under one roof,” Abdilla explains, “For example, teams can combine bowling, laser tag, karaoke, digital darts, escape rooms and over 100 arcade games – all in the same venue.”

This variety allows companies to design experiences that feel dynamic and interactive, rather than structured or overly formal.

The flexibility of the venue also means that events can be tailored to groups of very different sizes. Abdilla notes that the venue regularly holds gatherings ranging from small departments to large corporate celebrations.

“We host events for small teams of around 15 to 20 people right up to large groups of several hundred guests,” she says.

A key part of the experience lies in the support provided by The Eden’s events team.

Rather than leaving companies to coordinate logistics themselves, the venue assigns dedicated staff members, as well as a dedicated organiser to ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.

A wide range of experiences

Corporate events at The Eden are not limited to one format. Instead, the venue adapts its offering depending on the goals and preferences of each company.

The availability of multiple entertainment options means that each event can be customised and adapted to the size and energy of the team.

“We host a wide range of events, from team-building sessions and company celebrations to staff appreciation evenings and internal bowling competitions,” Abdilla says, “Some companies come for activity-based events, while others organise networking evenings with food and drinks.”

She highights that The Eden offers different refreshment package options depending on the type of event and group size.

“Food and drinks can be included with any kind of event, activity, or booking setup. We have options such as breakfast, platters, set menus, grazing tables and buffets. For drinks, we offer drink tokens, open bar packages, pitchers, beer towers and much more.”

Private spaces for corporate groups

Another advantage for businesses is the possibility of reserving dedicated areas within the venue, ensuring privacy and exclusivity during their event.

This can include hiring a single level, multiple levels or even the entire venue, depending on the scale of the event.

In doing so, companies can enjoy activities in a private setting without sharing the space with other guests.

“For a more relaxed part of the event, groups often move to Amber Terrace Bar, where we prepare food and drink specifically for the occassion,” Abdilla adds.

Extending the experience

Another unique feature of the location is its proximity to Eden Cinemas, which are located directly across the road.

“You can start with a presentation, awards or a private screening in a dedicated space which includes a 20-metre screen with a huge stage,” Abdilla explains. “Then you can just cross the road to The Eden to continue your event, turning a meeting into a full team experience.”

Strengthening workplace connections

Abdilla believes that well-designed team-building events play an important role in strengthening workplace relationships.

“People work better together when they know each other beyond their daily work tasks,” she says. “Group activities such as bowling, laser tag or team challenges create shared experiences that naturally improve communication and team spirit. It also helps colleagues work better together once they are back in the office.”

The Eden

For companies considering organising their first corporate event, Abdilla offers a straightforward piece of advice.

“Keep it simple and choose a venue that can handle everything under one roof,” she smiles. “At The Eden we make corporate events easy; companies get great activities, experienced organisers, and a venue that brings everything together in one place.”
