Atlas Insurance supports local organisations through employee fundraising and volunteering

Atlas Insurance has announced a Christmas donation and employee volunteering initiative delivered in support of local organisations.

Representatives from Atlas Insurance have since met formally with Fondazzjoni Suret il-Bniedem, where €2,500 was presented following the company’s annual TeamAtlas Christmas fundraising initiative, together with a direct company contribution.

Fondazzjoni Suret il-Bniedem provides accommodation and comprehensive care through psycho-social support for individuals experiencing homelessness in Malta.

It operates a network of residential facilities focused on facilitating new pathways for individuals who find themselves in challenging situations with the aim of providing dignity, hope and empowerment that enables these individuals to re-build themselves and move forward in life.

Commenting on the initiative, Matthew von Brockdorff, Managing Director and Chief Executive of Atlas Insurance, said: “This year, we were pleased to support this organisation by complementing the generosity of our employees with a company contribution. By bringing these efforts together, we were able to provide practical support to an organisation delivering essential front-line services. We encourage and support team involvement in initiatives such as this, including through the allocation of annual volunteering leave to enable employees to participate in hands-on support activities.”

In addition to the fundraising initiative, Atlas Insurance employees also collected food and essential items in support of Foodbank Lifeline Foundation. Employees also made use of the company’s annual volunteering leave to assist with the sorting and packaging of donations, continuing a practice that forms part of Atlas Insurance’s ongoing employee volunteering programme.
