APS Bank rings the bell once again at the Malta Stock Exchange

On Thursday 22 January, 2026, the Malta Stock Exchange hosted the Ringing of the Bell event to mark the listing of 104.1 million APS Bank plc ordinary shares, resulting from the recent highly successful and oversubscribed Rights Issue which raised more than €45 million of new capital.

The occasion was attended by APS Bank management and staff involved in the Rights Issue, senior representatives from sponsors and managers Rizzo Farrugia & Co., legal counsel Ganado Advocates, and management and staff of the Malta Stock Exchange, which also acted as Registrar of the Issue.

In his welcome speech, Malta Stock Exchange CEO Simon Zammit congratulated APS on a very successful Rights Offer. “The success of such a corporate action can only happen through proper planning and the support of a great management team and supporting team. Well done to the Bank’s management team, Rizzo Farrugia Stockbrokers who acted as sponsors and to the Malta Stock Exchange team who carried out the registrar functions. This also demonstrates confidence in the Bank and its governance, and we are pleased to welcome APS Bank once again to the Exchange to mark this important milestone in its growth.”

APS Bank CEO Marcel Cassar said: “Today’s listing and the outcome of the Rights Issue are testament to the confidence the market places in APS Bank and its strategic direction.

This fourth capital raise, between equity and bonds, in the last 5 years positions us to accelerate our growth while continuing to serve our customers and communities with a clear purpose.”
