SOFTSWISS, an international tech company headquartered in Malta, will extend its technology leadership and knowledge-sharing efforts across Europe this month. In June, SOFTSWISS specialists are taking the stage at two high-impact technology events: the company’s internal developer conference in Warsaw and the international Code Europe festival – one of the region’s largest tech gatherings.
As SOFTSWISS continues to scale its global operations, its strategic headquarters in Malta remains a key driver of the company’s engineering, product development, and innovation culture. According to Eurostat, 63% of Maltese citizens have at least basic digital skills, with 92% digital literacy among youth aged 16–29, placing Malta among the EU’s top performers. National strategies such as Malta’s AI Strategy 2030 and digital infrastructure investments further support the country’s growing status as a leading European tech hub.
“Malta plays an essential role in shaping our technology vision,” noted Liudmila Glasunova, Co-Chief HR Officer at SOFTSWISS. “We’re proud to see that vision brought to life across European stages – from public events like Code Europe to our own internal tech conference, which this year will gather over 100 specialists from across our offices worldwide.
Interest in the event far exceeded expectations: we received more speaker applications than planned, with three candidates competing for each available slot. In the end, ten speakers were selected and we’re especially proud that two of them represent the Malta team, contributing not just technical expertise but also the collaborative mindset that defines our culture.”
On June 28, SOFTSWISS will hold an internal cross-office developer conference in Warsaw, uniting engineering and product teams from several locations. Speakers will include:
- Brian Azzopardi, Head of Engineering, presenting ‘An Economist’s Guide to Architecting and Building Web-Scale Platforms’, exploring how economic theory can guide scalable infrastructure development.
- Sergei Laiter, Risk and Process Manager, delivering ‘How Risk Management Techniques Could Make Business – and Your Life – More Effective’, offering a fresh perspective on structured thinking in tech and leadership decisions.
At Code Europe 2025, SOFTSWISS will also be represented by Artem Bychkov, Deputy Chief Security Officer at SOFTSWISS, who will present ‘Groundhog Day: Lessons from 20 Years in Security’. The talk will provide a first-hand look at recurring issues in enterprise cybersecurity – from technical shortcomings to organisational patterns – and reference high-profile public incidents to illustrate persistent industry failures.
These parallel initiatives will highlight how SOFTSWISS continues to foster a culture of shared expertise, continuous learning, and cross-border collaboration – with Malta at the heart of its global technology strategy. For more information about SOFTSWISS visit https://careers.softswiss.com/.
