APS Bank colleagues share expertise at key industry events during March

In March 2025, Aida Cassola, Brand & Marketing Manager, took part in a panel discussion at miscoTalks: Unveiling the Trends Shaping Social Media in 2025, organised by misco Malta.

Cassola’s talk highlighted the role of brands in delivering responsible messaging and how social media has transformed not only marketing strategies but also behaviours, expectations, and human interactions. The discussion also explored the importance of digital literacy across all age groups and how brands can play a role in fostering it.

Gabriella Mifsud, Payments Screening and Fraud Monitoring Manager, and Silvana Bugeja, Chargebacks & Scheme Compliance Lead, co-presented a session on 3D Secure and online shopping. Their talk was part of the Malta Bankers’ Association’s (MBA) public event for European Money Week 2025 titled Ħu Ħsieb Flusek! They discussed the benefits and risks of online shopping, explaining how 3D Secure (3DS) helps prevent fraud, builds consumer trust, and reduces chargebacks for merchants.

Shana Micallef, IT Security Governance Manager, joined a panel discussion at the ‘Governance, Risk, Compliance & ESG Conference’ organised by the Malta Stock Exchange plc.
